1. Event Refund Policy – Paranormal Investigations / Workshops
All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email only.
- Refund requests must be sent to: mj@mjdickson.com
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval
- Requests not submitted via email will not be accepted
2. Product Returns & Refunds
Refunds for physical products will only be issued under the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, undamaged, and in its original condition
- The packaging seal must remain unbroken
- Customers may be responsible for return postage costs, unless the item is faulty or incorrect
We reserve the right to refuse a refund if these conditions are not met
3. Event Changes & Cancellations
We reserve the right to:
- Reschedule or amend event dates where necessary
- Cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances
In the event of a cancellation:
- Refunds will be processed within 60 days of the cancellation notice
- No additional compensation (including travel, accommodation, or other expenses) will be provided
4. Guest Appearance
Guest appearances at events are subject to factors outside of our control, including:
- Travel availability
- Filming commitments
- Professional work schedules
We cannot guarantee the appearance of any specific guest. Guest changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
5. Sage Dark Departures – Tour Cancellation Policy
For all Sage Dark Departures tours, the following cancellation policy applies:
- All cancellation requests must be submitted via email only to: mj@mjdickson.com
- Requests must include:
- The tour name
- The guest name
Cancellation requests not sent via email or missing required information will not be accepted.
Sage Dark Departures Holiday Tours Refund Structure
- 6 months or more prior to the tour: 50% refund
- Between 6 months and 3 months prior to the tour: 25% refund
- Less than 3 months prior to the tour: No refund
- All refunds will be processed within 30–60 days of the tour departure date
6. Right of Admission
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from our events or tours at our discretion.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour
- Failure to comply with event rules or venue policies
- Any conduct deemed unsafe to guests, staff, or the venue
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
7. Limitation of Liability & Legal Protection
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
- We shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, loss of earnings, travel disruption, accommodation costs, or personal expenses arising from attendance at or cancellation of any event or tour.
- All guests attend events and tours at their own risk. We accept no responsibility for:
- Personal injury, illness, or loss/damage to personal belongings
- Delays, disruptions, or cancellations caused by third parties (including venues, transport providers, or accommodation providers)
- We act as an organiser and facilitator and are not liable for the acts, omissions, or failures of third-party suppliers.
- In circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to natural events, venue issues, transport disruption, government restrictions, or other force majeure events), we reserve the right to:
- Amend itineraries
- Change venues or locations
- Reschedule or cancel events or tours
- Our total liability, where it cannot be excluded, shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the relevant product, event, or tour.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. General Terms
- All bookings and purchases constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions
- We reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice
- It is the customer’s responsibility to review the Terms & Conditions prior to booking
